Q: How do you install a ddr memory in an acer aspire notebook laptop?
A: If you are replacing, you need to take out the old memory which is pretty easy. The memory is held with "2 claws" on the side. side spread them apart with your fingers and it should pop out. Notice that the memory doesn't go in horizontally or vertically in. When installing it, most likely it will go through at an angle so then you can just push it into the "claws" and it will make a click noise.
Q: Who owns an ACER laptop/notebook?
You see I own a ACER laptop and I accidentally deleted ACER ARCADE. Is there a possibility I can find that software on the net and download it?
A: well i own an acer but i dont think its replaceable... u can probably go into a computer place and ask them for an update on the latest things and you would have it back!!!
Q: Problems with Acer Notebook laptop?
I have had this laptop for 3+ years and had no problems, however recently the screen has been going black - I still stay connected to all programmes and internet but its as if the screen switches itself off. Can anyone tell me how to fix this?
A: that6 is most likely the backlight switching off on the LCD display, unfortunatly that will require a new LCD panel to fix.
They can be expensive to buy, but are fairly easy to replace

Why is it slow on games is should work fine, it has 3gg off RAM!!!.
A: It's your graphics card. These days, a good video card is just as important as a good processor and enough RAM, possibly more important than RAM.
See if you can find an upgrade for your video card, 'cause you're gonna need one if you want to play high-quality games.

A: Sounds like a pretty good deal. Plenty of space on the disk too.

Q: How do you remove the bottom access cover on an Acer 4420 laptop ?
I have an Acer 4420 laptop/notebook and want to upgrade from 2 GB to 4 GB of RAM. I checked Acer's website and it shows the panel to remove but when you remove the screws (5) the panel still does not want to come off and I don't want to force and break it....help please!
A: It's plastic so there is a little bit of give with it. Try wiggling it back and forth, there's usually plastic tabs that are used to keep it in place. You usually have to exert an excess amount of force to break the plastic
Q: Help! Recently bought an Acer Notebook Laptop and..?
I can't find the webcam! It's apparently got an integrated Crystal Eye webcam, but I can't find it or see it.
Also, I can't install Windows Live Messenger. When I click "download", it downloads fully, but when it gets to 100%, it just closes the window and doesn't load? :/ Please, please help!

A: Go to your download and your Document and you may find the download. then install it. As far as the person says get HP computer He didn't know computers because Acer computer owns Gateway and Dell computer.Lots of computers use the same mother boards and processors as HP, Gateway,Dell,E Machines,Compaq, Velocity Micro, Alienware and asus computers. The Acer is the low end of them but Acer has there own high end computer too.You well have to remove Acers Data Security delete it before Windows Live Messenger well work. I run A Acer computer my self with Windows Vista Home Premium Service pack 1 . I have never had any problem with it and I have been using it for 2 years so far. Do all your updates from Microsoft. Some games that you well download well not play if you didn't your updates.A computer is only as good as it's keeper

I would mainly just be using it for at home stuff, a little bit of work stuff. But mainly to go on the net, store photos, use itunes and then eventually take it overseas with me and travel with it.
A: Yes. an acer aspire notebook is great for home use and on the go use. Im on my acer aspire notebook right now.
I would not recommend a mac book. They are way too expensive.

i was thinking about getting the Acer Gemstone laptop. Is this a good notebook?
A: my mom purchased an acer 10 months ago and has had to send it to Texas (warranty work) to get it repaired twice now......she gave it to me last month and the CD drive went out in it again, I paid someone to replace the drive and it still only works sometimes. She bought an HP this month and loves it.
Q: i`m using an Acer-2310 notebook. My laptop`s battery is giving me lots of problems.?
On full charge it has a standby capacity of just 35 minutes at max. I`m tired of carrying my charger around wherever i go. It is embarrasing at times. I purchased this laptop about 2 years ago.

A: Sounds like your battery needs to be replaced with a new one. If it's a Lithium Ion battery, and you keep it in the machine all the time, you need to fully discharge it at least once a month or it will lose 'memory'; i.e., you will get shorter and shorter time before it needs recharging agian. When you get a new battery, it is best to keep it out of the machine when you are not plugged in, and don't plug in until the battery is fully discharged when you do go mobile with it.
Q: Laptop/notebook reliability question, Gateway, Acer, Dell?
Hi, I was thinking about buying a gateway laptop. The place I am buying from doesn't have a huge selection, and I have a gift certificate so i cant shop elsewhere.
My options are basically just acer, gateway, and dell. ive heard dell is quite unreliable, and i'm leaning towards the gateway. has anyone ever owned one or does anyone know about laptop brand reliability?
i know sony is probably the most reliable, but i want to get some feedback on which of those you guys think is more solid and problem free. thanks
A: i have a gateway and its great. ive had no problems.
however there is no external volume buttons or a built in micro-phone in mine but i know other gateways have that
you just have to makes sure the laptop you get has everything you want-even the little things you take for granted.

A: no windex .. no cleaners at all imo .. i just use a damp with water tshirt and buff it dry ..
