A: yes, not anymore. its good for ordinary day to day things but its quite outdated in terms of technology. Processor speed is okay, RAM is too small, HD is too small, doesn't come with DVD standard. gave up mine after a month to get a "real" laptop. for the price tag, I guess its worth it.

Their ink for the printer is much cheaper than the rest. So you might want to think about them also.

Okay... some of the keys for letters are typing numbers instead. It's not the number lock or the caps lock or anything. Iv'e tried so many things and I don't want to have to return the pc. Please write me some suggestions.

A: Some laptops/notebooks have a numeric keypad overlay on the uio/jkl/m,. (you will usually see little numbers on the upper right side of the keys) keys for 10-key data entry. sometimes numlock activates, sometimes function lock. Check with te Compaq website for particulars.

OK, I want The Compaq Presario F730 Laptop for christmas, but first I wanna know if it's a good computer...So is it?

A: Well, compaq is now part of HP. I have an hp laptop and have had nothing but problems from it. It runs slow as molasses (no viruses or spyware and I don't have much stored on the machine). Ugh.. can't wait to get rid of it. As much as a dislike dell, I've had a dell desktop computer for about 6 years and its still running great. So if I were you I'd skip the hp/compaq experience and go with another brand.
