Q: Where can I find a notebook with black pages?
If anyone remembers the 90s craze of gel pens and accompanying lined notebooks with black pages - that is what I'm trying to find!

Q: I have a black notebook and glitter pens?
So I have to decorate/personalize a back hard cover journal and mom picked me up glitter glue so how should I decorate it? Patterns or ideas? I want to make it pretty and I'm not sure where to start!

A: You can do stripes, polka dots, zig zags......

Q: Do you have BLACK light? Can you point it your notebook keyboard and see if the keys glow in the dark?
Normally notebook keyboards are black with white keys with FN Keys in light green, the experiment is to be made with one of these Im thinking in buuying black light to illuminate my notebook keyboard at night. So, do the keys, the white ones and the green ones glow in the dark?

what are some ways i can dress up my plain, boring old black notebook (the cover isn't paper, so gluing something on it would look pretty tacky).

A: Use glitter glue to make designs, or find a pretty fabric and cover the front and back. You can also get metallic markers that write on black to draw things.

Q: When I start my notebook, i just get a black screen.?
I start up my laptop, and it brings up the screen saying that the laptop has shut down improperly and asks if it wants to start in safe mode. If i select one of the safe mode selections, my notebook just locks up. If i select start normally or start with previous configuration, the laptop seems to start up, but when the welcome screen should come up, a black one stays instead. What can I do?

A: Sounds like something is corrupted, use your Windows disc to do a system restore

A: Awww Tril that is so cute! Yes I owned a journal but I only had mine at a later stage which was 14 and I still have it. Unfortunately I can't write in it because the pages are used up lol... That's because when I got my journal the first time, I was constantly writing, couldn't stop. I was going through personal stuff and I had so much to write. It was this thick black book with golden pages in it but I don't know where I place it though but I know it some where in the storage room since we moved house. But if I had to tell you what my journal is about, you would probably cringe, that's how painful it is. I don't own one now at this age because now I'm more pressured then when I was at 14. I'm in college and I have so much to do like assignments, studying, I work part time at this Interior Design company called la maison chic and by the time I get home I'm wrecked. But since I'm on my holidays now I just want to go on a vacation. No pen, no paper, just the beach. But hopefully I can go back picking up a fresh journal and start jotting down stuff. But it's great that you have a journal that you had since you were 8, that's pretty cool: )

Q: How to go on-line browse surf the Internet in Black & White B&W B/W on a Laptop Notebook? Possible?
Hi, Is there a way to surf the internet in Black & White instead of browsing in color, especially on a laptop/Notebook? I personally feel that it would not only be a power/battery Efficient way of surfing but also Lot less straining to the Eyes! If you click Start > Turn Off Computer and wait for couple of seconds on the background, you will know what I am looking for. Your input and suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks !!!! This would Definitely be Less Straining to the Eyes! Now all i need is a Way to do It!

A: You can change the display settings to show no color with the control panel. I have heard that it is faster, but doesn't save power. For some people it could be less eye strain. I have bad eyes , but those changes do not work for me. You might also try the accessibility options. I didn't like those either, but they must work for some people.

Q: Can the silver keyboard on a Dell Inspiron Notebook be replaced with a black keyboard?
My vision is really bad and I can see the black keys with white lettering, but not this lousy silver one with the pale, grey lettering. Helllp!! Thanks!! ♥

A: If they tell you that a replacement keyboard would also be silver, try seeing if they will sell you a Dell Latitude keyboard instead - those are black with white lettering, and the Inspiron and Latitude lines are design similar enough that it should work fine (in fact, many Inspiron/Latitude models used *the same motherboard* - the difference was things like the case, the screeen, and the service/support plans...

Q: Why is my notebook screen black?
I turned my laptop off last night, turned it on this morning and the screen is black telling me there is no operating system installed. What happened?

A: sounds like you got a virus or your hard drive failed. try using your restore disks that came with it. if you dont have them youre gonna have to take it to a shop. i recommend the small owner operator, non-chain shops. you getter prices and better, higher quality service with them.

I've been looking around and I haven't been able to find it. I looked around Yahoo Answers and found one question that resembled mine but it wasn't notebook paper. A: A first advice would be to check the contrast, brightness and resolution configuration of your laptop/notebook screen. Too much brightness and/or abusive contrast set on display properties would cause eye strain. Resolution depends on your portable, as a 15 inches wide screen should be set to 800x600 pixels, to give an example. Another recommendation is to use the portable in a comfortable and enough lightened place (specially at night), and trying to avoid direct sunlight over the screen, unless it was built for outdoors use (as specified on its user manual). Finally, I personally use Opera browser which has the capability of switching colors in its menu bar following the View>Style>High contrast (B/W) or (W/B) path. You can download it from www.opera.com For IE i think there should be some plugin or stylesheet you could look for, but that's sort of hard work and takes time for tech-knowledge-lacking people.

Q: How do I start my notebook in 'safe mode'. I currently get a black screen and nothing more. Shutdown improper?
Possible improper shutdown. I need to reboot from scratch. This is Vista OS on my new Sony FE 880 Series laptop. Please help!

A: After turning the laptop on, you should hear the fan kick in inside, run for a few seconds, then stop. When it quiets, hold F8, this will take you to the 'startup options' screen where there will be a list of ways to startup. One of these will be safe mode. Somtimes there will be other options like 'safe mode w/ command prompt' or 'safe mode w/ networking' but in general, you want just regular safe mode. Just pick safe mode and go from there. On some laptops, after picking safe mode, another menu will come up asking you which operating system you want to use (or at least it does on mine). If that happens just pick windows. Good luck, hope it works.

Q: the screen on my HP notebook keeps going black?
The screen is black, yet you can see what SHOULD be on the screen very faintly (but it's impossible to use like this). We have made sure that the energy saving features sleep mode and hybernation are off for now. And it is not a contrast adjustment that is needed.. the screen will be bright and then turn to black, OR you can restart it and it will start in this way. PLEASE HELP me see my computer screen!

Q: why does my tv display black and white when I connect it to my notebook?!?
I have a fujitsu siemens amilo a 3667 notebook.plus a s-video tu video adapter. When I connect it to my tv(daewoo ..something) it displays only black and white(on the tv). Someone help please. I tried to set it to 16 bit and 32 bit , and different resolutions, but ...nothing the same grayscale image.

A: This is common error. Either You must use the settings of your video card to line up with you monitor (set to TV) or Your wiring is not connected properly.
